Introduction to Future Design through Parametric Scenarios.

Application of Techniques and Tools in the Study of Trends and Future Scenarios Using Generative Artificial Intelligence.

Why Futurize?

In the complex times we live in, with significant challenges and no easy solutions, but also with innovation occurring at unprecedented speeds, it is difficult to remain well-positioned and offer relevant and viable services with guarantees for the future.

Future foresight allows us to envision which scenarios are most probable, but also desirable, for the coming years, enabling us to make strategic decisions for the future. Imagining radical futures inspires us to generate ideas and advocate for significant changes that benefit us as individuals.

In this case, based on the participants' motivations, we will explore different possibilities for the future of the society we inhabit and how we can position ourselves and act within these scenarios and imaginaries.

Objectives

The objectives of the session will be:

  • To learn the basic techniques of foresight;

  • To develop the ability to think and work with future scenarios;

  • To identify business opportunities, services, or innovations in possible and desirable scenarios.

Format

This is an introductory practical workshop where participants will be able, through templates, cards, and digital platforms, to acquire the basic tools for systematic thinking about future scenarios, evaluating them with collective intelligence, and using them for strategic decision-making or design.

A Generative AI tool will be applied to create and evaluate scenarios.

Program

Concepts of Futures

Presentation of key concepts in foresight and future modeling through the play of multiple perspectives.

Trend Analysis

Presentation and identification of future trends. The role of desire, facts, and chance in defining the future.

Development of Future Scenarios

Development of future scenarios using digital tools with artificial intelligence. Opportunities offered by these scenarios will also be identified and evaluated to define new services, products, or policies.
